Disaster Recovery Services
Our experience is that whilst most large Corporates have plans in place for a major disaster in their office many small to medium size companies have struggled with both the cost and the complexity of putting such arrangements in place.
We therefore offer our clients a shrink wrapped disaster recovery solution:-
We work closely with the client to tailor the standard D/R package to their individual requirements; this includes sourcing suitable servers, comms circuits, PCs and Internet connectivity at the D/R site to be able to get your business operational again in a timely fashion.
As we are carrying out D/R tests, and indeed occasional live invocations, on a regular basis, we find that we have the in-depth technical knowledge and the equipment/tools at hand to be able to recover our customer's systems in a timely and professional manner.
It offers the customer, their auditors and insurer peace of mind that a plan exists and has been successfully tested to ensure that the business would be able to continue operating in the event of a disaster occurring.
For those clients who require an even swifter systems recovery, we can replicate your data in real time onto one or more backup servers at our Recovery Centre.
This can include the replication of email systems such as MS Exchange and databases such as MS SQL. The real time replication is achieved through use of NSI Software’s Double-Take product.
Double-Take goes beyond periodic backup to provide continuous data protection and to ensure minimal data loss and near immediate recovery from any disaster or system outage.
Double-Take utilises patented replication and failover technology which continuously captures changes as they happen and replicates those changes to one or more backup servers which are held either locally or at our recovery site.
When disaster strikes, Double-Take can immediately reassign the source server ID to a backup server. You are up and running again in minutes, with minimal or no loss of data and productivity. Compare that to the hours or days required to rebuild a server from backup tapes!
